About Us
We're a small-scale coffee roaster based in the NSW Blue Mountains.
Our roasting journey started back in 2005 using an electric popcorn popper, hacked to roast coffee. These were interesting times, sometimes discovering the hard way the perils of not watching a roast and having things go up in flames...
We've since moved on to a larger roaster, but the focus is still small batch sizes. We initially focused on espresso roasts for our own cafe in 2008, and now we specialise in roasting for filter brews.
Acknowledgement of this specialisation came when we won a bronze medal in the Sydney Royal Coffee competition in 2012 (plunger class, small commercial division).
There is a world of coffee out there that the average consumer may not have ever been exposed to...We want to change that.
